As an important part of undergraduate education, common learning teaching plays a role of education for all-round development and provides theoretical basis for students in the academy of fine arts. The study of the history, current situation and tendency of common learning teaching has an important significance for the improvement of the quality of higher education.As an education concept or practice, General Education has internal consistency with Education for all-round development in china. The study of the concept and practice of general education at home and abroad has a reference value for the teaching reform of common learning teaching in the academy of fine arts in china. The introduction of general education in china has an domesticate process, And the academy needs to develop some new method by combining their own characteristic with the experience of general education practice.The study choses the common learning teaching for undergraduate students of the china central Academy of Fine Arts as the research object, using questionnaire survey method and interview method. By analyzing the history and current situation of the object and learning from the general education practice of other countries, the study tries to figure out the tendency and problems of common learning teaching in the academy of fine arts in china, and to think about some possible way of reformation.The study consists of six chapters:Chapter Ⅰ:Using the method of historical research, introduce the history of common learning teaching of china central academy of fine arts from 1900 up to now.Chapter Ⅱ:Analyzing the basic structure of the common learning teaching of china central academy of fine arts, to understand the characteristics and problems of its organization, curriculum, teachers and management.Chapter Ⅲ:Analyzing the current situation and characteristics of the instrument of the required course in common learning.Chapter Ⅳ:Analyzing the reformation content and tendency of the selective course in common learning of china central academy of fine arts, which might be the breakthrough point of the teaching reform. And figure out the possible problems and challenges of it.Chapter Ⅴ:By introducing the development of general education concept and practice at home and abroad, the study points out that general education is an education idea and modle that can be used for reference by common learning teaching of the academy of fine arts. And by introducing the practice of general education in the academy of fine arts abroad, absorbing its positive results, the study tries to conceive an bright future for the reformation of common learning teaching.Chapter Ⅵ:Conclusion.
