Modem geography curriculum requires students to learn what is useful for life, and take more attention on developing students’awareness of innovation and practical ability. Geography teaching is no longer teacher-centered, classroom-centered, book-centered. So at this stage the way of geography teaching is more open and diverse. Based on the requirements of geography teaching in the new era and the characteristics of geography, it is necessary to carry out fieldwork.Combine geography curriculum standards and personal research interests, this study selects the lotus pond system to be the object of Local Geography Fieldwork exploitation. Through literature and Fieldwork method, we have summarized the geography teaching resources available about the lotus pond system for geography teachers, and geography teachers can design different course for different students. And at the same time, the samples of instructional design for junior school and high school are provided for geography teachers.In addition, by developing the fieldwork teaching resources and writing the instructional designs about the lotus pond system, the study also proposes a number of strategies to develop the fieldwork teaching resources.
