A Study On The Contents Of Local Geography Teaching In Weishan County

With the development of the times and the progress of science and technology, the teaching content of various subjects needs further improving, of course including the geography teaching. Especially the local geography teaching content needs continuously updating. The government began the reform of the new curriculum from2001, every subject should attach great importance to curriculum resources, especially to the development and utilization of geography teaching content system. Development and utilization of local geography teaching content is particularly important, which has been paid great attention to by many experts and geographical teachers. Studying its content system is the focus of attention of many experts and geographical teachers in teaching. Based on this, the development and use of the Weishan County local geography teaching content system is chosen as the key subject in order to make a contribution to the Weishan County local geography teaching content system. This paper contains five parts.The first part:introduction. Starting from the concept and the connotation of local geography, make it clear what I want to research on. Based on this, explore the significance of the local geography teaching in the middle school, mainly including to arouse effectively students’ interest in learning geography, to develop the students’ deep love of his hometown and to develop students’ innovation ability and inquiry ability of geography knowledge. The literature states the research situation of the Weishan County local geography teaching content system from home and abroad. At home the main research is studying the teaching content and focusing on the development and utilization of the geography curriculum resources, while at abroad there is almost no research on the Weishan County Local Geography Teaching content system.The second part:the advantages and characteristics of geography teaching resources in Weishan. Weishan county is known as the Shandong south gate, whose teaching resources are very rich. There are many obvious advantages and prominent features. It’s the Shandong south gate; the east route of south-to-north water transfer project pass through it; Weishan is also the only one in Shandong province using water as the theme of the county. Weishan is rich in aquatic products and there are many red tourism resources, water tourism resources full of personality. Weishan has been regarded as the place with outstanding people and smart land, whose culture is splendid. In Weishan there are the famous Liangzhu culture, Four Lake Culture and the canal culture. The third part:The present situation and existing problems of local geography teaching. In order to find the problems in teaching, do a survey to collect information, analyse data, sort, draw the conclusion and find the problems in Teaching. There is no relatively complete system of local materials. Geography teachers and teaching experts are lack of enthusiasm and consciousness in development and utilization of Local Geography teaching content. Teaching process and the actual link are disjointed.The fourth part:the construction of the local geography teaching content system of Weishan county. This part has two parts. The first is to describe the following four construction principles:the principles of the characteristics, purpose, economy, and development. Also the establishment of teaching content system should follow the above four principles. Under the new curriculum standard, it is very essential to take advantage of the abundant aquatic products in Weishan County. Besides there is great need to increase the lake products processing standards, that is, to build the brand effect for the whole new development of the characteristic economy; As for the development of tourism resources, regional planning, as well as the development of key attractions is very significant to make clear. Moreover, we must acknowledge that the new hope of Weishan development lies in constantly improving the tourism cultural connotation of Weishan Lake and the infrastructure, trying our best to solve tourism "trapped","difficult" problems, vigorously creating new industries, especially the development of new energy industry, promoting the sustained, rapid and healthy economy development of Weishan county.The fifth part: the recommendation for the development and utilization of local geography teaching content of Weishan county. The support from the governments at all levels is very precious and necessary. So the government has the responsibility to encourage the compiling of local geography textbook, try to enhance the consciousness and ability of geography teachers in the development and utilization of local geography teaching contents, and make sure of the establishment of steady geography teaching base.
