Due to the differences in geographical environment and climate,and the factorsof imbalanced social history development, compared with the coastal and easternregions,western areas of China fall behind of economic development, which leads tothe inevitable result of the development of culture and education in case of thebackward situation. Performed in primary and secondary schools, especially in ruralprimary and secondary schools in northwest area,the the shortage of teachers,andthe poor teaching facilities has become common phenomenon, especially for artclasses, because of extremely scarce of specialists,are mainly taught by teacherswho are major in other subjects. the low level and the illicit of teaching leads artclasses to become the burden of teachers and students,which stand in an awkwardposition. According to this, based on the basic thoughts and spirits of <compulsoryeducation art curriculum standard>,the author analyzes the specific problems existingin rural primary schools,and explores how to correlate with the real situation of localcounties. Exploring the teaching methods and contents, which are suitable for theactual conditions of local counties and cognitive abilities of students,putting forwardthe policies according to reality, paying close attention to various local specialmedia, studying how to utilize these medias and using them to create the teachingmethod of fine arts,finally make the fine arts of elementary school a brilliant lusterThe thesis is divided into three chapters, elaborated from three aspects: The firstchapter, focus on the search for new resources of art curriculum, placing observationand Analysis on courses, curriculum resources, curriculum contents and teachingimplementation, putting forward the views that exploring local culture resources aremeaningful to enrich and expand the art classes which has importantimplications.Pointing out the ideas and measures meeting the urgent needs of studentswho should accept art education.Based on the rich local culture resources ofTianshui,the spread,introduction,realization and cognition of The first chapter,focus on the search for new resources of art curriculum, placing observation andAnalysis on courses, curriculum resources, curriculum contents and teaching implementation, putting forward the views that exploring local culture resources aremeaningful to enrich and expand the art classes which has importantimplications.Pointing out the ideas and measures meeting the urgent needs of studentswho should accept art education.Based on the rich local culture resources ofTianshui,the spread,introduction,realization and cognition of these localcultures,should be done from the art learning of teenagers.The implications andmeanings of research,the thesis will describe in three parts:the heritages to Tianshui’sfolk art,the protection of non-substance culture,how to formulating art classes withlocal characters.The thesis also simply introduce the research measures adopted bythis topic,and make elaborate introduction and analysis to the exploration andutilization of TIanshui’s local art resources to prepare for the following research.The second chapter briefly introduces the general situation of art resources ofTianshui,analyzing the concept of the local art curriculum resources,investigating thedevelopment and utilization of fine arts curriculum resources and students andteachers of two village’s primary schools,conducting deep interviews to teachers ofdifferent counties,getting the first hand data,which provides a favor for the measuresof following study. The third chapter is the key chapter of this thesis, which putsforward concrete measures for the development and utilization of curriculums. Usingthe specific natural resources of Tianshui,introducing the exploration and utilizationof Maijishan grotto art,the local resources,regarding the frescos and clay sculptures artas the breakthrough point,explore how to introduce theses to primary schools. Theauthor also analyzes and collates the Tianshui’s folk art,digging out the unique folkart, analyzing and collating the characteristics which are different fromelsewhere,providing realistic measures and methods,especially classifying anddisplaying the nature media and work art which are wide seen in counties,and thenproviding many pictures to enhance visibility,show some excellent works ofstudents.the specific cases and other materials which are involved in the research arealso been presented by appendix. The research of this topic, put forwardperspectives and ideas of the development prospects of rural primary school arteducation in the future of my own,and present a new idea to develop art teaching contents. Although there are still many problems to be solved, many difficulties toovercome, the author thinks that the long insistence to this beneficialexploration,undoubtedly could develop new world for the healthy development of artteaching in primary and middle schools in rural areas continuously.
