With the heat of "Sinaean Boom" continues to increase around the globe, more and more countries are now thinking seriously on the study of Chinese. Being a country of a long history of Chinese learning, the teaching scale and number in Chinese teaching is expanding and developing, due to deeper the economical in-and-out and communications going as well as the Thailand government paying greater attention to Chinese teaching. At present stage, most primary schools in Thailand are now universalizing Chinese teaching.Primary is the stage one of systematically and normally language study. Lots of scholars consider that people could naturally gaining language in the lateralization of language function time during the period of age two to age twelve. This hypnosis is also used to the learning and teaching of second language. Meanwhile, the key to second language study is the picking of the best time. For children, it is likely more successful to learning second language than adults, especially oral and phonetics. For students in Thailand, it is the best time to begin Chinese learning without doubt. This is the decisive aspect of the importance and particularity of Chinese learning in Thailand for primary stage children. Which method should be used in the primary phase of Chinese teaching, which part should be paid attention including speaking, listening, and writing, which kind of problems and emphasizes should be overcome and taking care, are all thought over based on the theory of "the key period time of language study". Based on the particularity of primary students study and the natural talent on listening and speaking, teachers should pay more attention on the oral and listening teaching, and for that, the best and most scientific approach is audio-lingual method.With the great honor, the author of this article is one of the teachers who went to Thailand and practiced nine months of Chinese teaching. During this period, about32hours of primary integrated Chinese teaching to the students in grade four to grade six was given by author. Teaching on the basis of audio-lingual method combined with a lot of practice of imitation through sentences structure will become the central method of teaching. This article is based on the teaching plan "How many people in your family? in Chinese" to discuss and analyze the using of audio-lingual method in Chinese teaching. By all means mentioned before, it will conclude the results and advantages of audio-lingual method by the contrast of data analyze and result comparing.This article is written under the conduction of observation, test, and conclusion combined with the author’s own research result, as well as the practices to the students using the audio-lingual method on primary students. Hopefully it will provide some thoughts and gain some practical teaching techniques on the Chinese teaching of low grades in Thailand by analyzing the remaining teaching plans and finding problems and advantages listed below in audio-lingual method.
