It plays an vital role in practicing the thinking ability and oral expression of the students to improve the effectiveness of the language classroom in the high school. But under the impact of the traditional classroom concept in China, "chalk and talk" dominates the past Chinese classroom.With the requirements of the new curriculum reform, focusing on improving the efficiency and the quality of teaching, teachers have used a variety of methods and means, to some extent, although improved, but there appears a "full house and asked" phenomenon in some classes. Some pseudo-problem and the invalid issue are filled with language classroom. To this end, some effective measures and basic principles of asking questions in class should be followed.This thesis is divided into six parts. The first part is the meaning and significance of effective questioning in language class. Class questions, which is effective teacher-student interaction in class, that is,there should be the bilateral dialogue activities between teachers and students.The second is the effect of questioning in the language classroom. Effective classroom questioning can not only stimulate students’ motivation, but also effectively exercise students’ creative thinking ability and so on.The third part is to analyze the current situation in the language classroom, and to find out the problem, and finally reach the purpose of solving the problem.The fourth part is an effective strategy for improving classroom questioning. Aiming at the questions which appear in the language classroom, I made some effective measures and hope that they can be of great help to the teaching of teachers.The fifth part is the principle which should be followed in the classroom questioning, everything has its law, only when things follow their basic rules and principles inherent, can they develop better. Following these principles in the classroom questioning,we can achieve the better result of teaching.The sixth part is diverse ways of questioning, to flexibly use a variety of questioning ways, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students, so that students are actively engaged in learning.In the course of language teaching of the future, teachers should pay more attention to classroom questioning, effective classroom questioning is an effective means of classroom teaching. Under the new curriculum background, according to the purpose of teaching, timely setting up problems, causing students to deep thinking, actively involved in teaching and promoting the smooth teaching.
