| The high school thought political lesson to cultivate qualified citizens with civic awareness of the responsibility for the country, and "political life" textbook body contains the contents of the civic consciousness education. So, how to accurately understand and grasp the connotation of citizen consciousness education, and actively carry out the education of citizen consciousness, improving the students’ level of citizen consciousness has become an important task for the ideological and political education. Therefore, the author adopted a unique perspective, on how to strengthen the education of citizen consciousness in "political life" in the teaching of the course was studied.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is introduction. In this part, the author introduces the background and significance of the research; analysis on citizen consciousness education research achievements at home and abroad; introduced this article research mentality and the method.The second part is the theoretical basis for the. First of all, discusses the connotation of citizen consciousness education; and then introduces the main content of the education of citizen consciousness "political life" in the teaching of the course, including the rights of democratic consciousness education, duty consciousness education and national awareness education; finally, from the social development, the development of education, curriculum development three aspects analyzes the necessity of strengthening the education of citizen consciousness in "the political life in the teaching of the course".The third part is the present situation analysis. By way of a questionnaire survey found that the existence of citizen consciousness education of today’s "political life" course teaching in three aspects of specific problems, and from the teaching content, teaching method and teaching philosophy reason analysis.The fourth part is the analysis of countermeasures.
