Ever since the Education department issued the New Curriculum Reform Plan and the High School Chinese Curriculum Standards, high school Chinese curriculum in China has stepped into experimental stage. A Dream in Red Mansions selected readings is one of module in fiction and drama in high school Chinese, Jiang su Education Press. A Dream in Red Mansions is not only a classical literature work, but also treasure in classical fiction. Why it has been chosen into the High school Chinese as a selected reading is to deepen the love to the country, cultivate the temperament, improve the literature accomplishment.While since the curriculum A Dream in Red Mansions selected reading has been implemented, lots of teachers’ teaching method cannot comply with the idea required by the new curriculum standard, which cause the curriculum value can’t be fully accomplished. In this article, we analysis and research the curriculum idea, teaching content and teaching situation for the Red Mansions, Jiang su Education Press, so as to research the effective teaching strategy for the Red Mansions, selected reading.This article has been divided into three parts:introduction, main body and the epilogue. The main body also has been divided into three parts to discourse.In introduction part, we state the origin of the study topics, analyse the current study situation, and propose the research imagine for this article.The summarize for the Chapter One, the Red Mansions, selected reading, state the selected course’s nature and the idea; combine with the specific circumstance of Red Mansions, selected reading, state the purpose and significance of the Red Mansions as following three aspects:accumulation and integration, experience and appreciation, think and comprehend; read the content of Red Mansions, selected reading, analyse the characteristics of integrity, purpose and hierarchy.In chapter two of Red Mansions, selected reading, it researches and analyses the teaching situation, selects the sample, and conduct the questionnaire and interview investigate among the teachers and students, make the statistic analysis for investigate results. Constraints of these issues were behind on this basis, to prepare for the study of teching strategies.In chapter three, based on the previous study for the Red Mansions, selected reading, discuss the implementation strategy for teaching of Red Mansions, selected reading, which includes the teaching aims and teaching important points, based on the teaching process of Red Mansions, selected reading, establish the suitable evaluation system for the selected course.In epilogue, state this issue in following two parts:experience for this issuesand the existing deficiencies.
