Middle school political teacher are important part of teachers, they are the main force in the implementation of the new curriculum reform of politics course in middle school. Political teachers participate in the new curriculum reform success largely depend on the level of professionalism and professional development of teachers. Under the New Curriculum, middle school political teacher are promoters of student learning, service providers, the new curriculum developers, designers, education researchers and implementers. "In order to the development of each student "is the support of the core concept of the new curriculum reform. It’s also the political teachers’teaching objectives, which is the highest level of curriculum objectives. In order to practice the educational philosophy and achieve the curriculum goals and adapt to the new curriculum reform and development needs of students continuously. Middle school political teacher as the operators and specific actors, they must strive to play a good education in their professional roles, enrich their professional knowledge constantly, improve their professional knowledge structure, enhance their professional skills and develop their own professional affection.The professional development of middle school political teacher is a combination of teacher’s professional development and subject-specific. Discussing the professional development of middle school political teacher has an important guiding significance to both for the education theory and education practice. In the process of new curriculum reform implementation, people attached great importance to the professional development issues of middle school political teachers. Our country spends a lot of manpower, material and financial resources for all levels of teachers’ specialized and targeted training. Researches on teacher’s professional development are endless. But with the deepening of the new curriculum reform forward, new teaching situation and new teaching problem also appear. It requires further research in theory and practice of the professional development of middle school political teacher.The full text is divided into three parts:The first part is the introduction. It introduces selected topic background, the selected topic significance, research ideas, research methods and related concepts defined. It also introduces the background of the new curriculum, the necessity of the professional development of middle school political teacher. The second part exposes the status quo and analysis the causes. The last part discusses the strategy of the professional development of middle school political teacher from teachers, schools and society. Through the research, we hope to encourage middle school political teacher can seize the opportunity of the new curriculum reform, adapt to the changing society and engaged in professional development.
