A Study On The Actual Effect Of Ideological And Political Education Of Students In Higher Vocational Colleges In

As an important part of China’s higher education system, higher vocational education has been experiencing nearly 30 years of rapid development. A large number of special talents in applied technologies have been trained by the vocational colleges for the society, greatly promoting the economic development of China. And different levels of the society begin to pay close attention to the higher vocational education. With all-around social and economic development in Xinjiang in recent years, the demand for professional and technical personnel becomes more and more urgent. Over the years, higher vocational education in Xinjiang is also rapidly developing:more than twenty higher vocational colleges have been established. To train quality talents specializing applied technologies and to achieve the training objectives of higher vocational education, we must to do a good job of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges in Xinjiang so as to significantly enhance the effectiveness of education.Firstly, this paper will discuss necessity of strengthening and improving the ideological and political education in higher vocational college students in Xinjiang; then the current ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges in Xinjiang will be analyzed. The author of this paper analyzed the questionnaire results by the students from four vocational colleges in Xinjiang and summarized multiple methods of enhancing their ideological and political education. To be specific, the essay will discuss the topic in terms of the following three parts:The first part mainly discusses the necessity of strengthening and improving the ideological and political education in higher vocational college students in Xinjiang. It is the basic requirement of socialist modernization construction for talents; it is needed for the development and stability of Xinjiang, for realizing vocational education goals and for the all-around development of students as well as for building harmonious campuses.The second part analyzed the thoughts, psychological and behavior characteristics of vocational college students in Xinjiang through the questionnaire analysis of the candidates. The author puts forward that the social environment, family education, school education management and student’s own factors are the main factor influencing Xinjiang vocational students’ ideological and political education effectiveness.The third part mainly describes the ways of enhancing the actual effectiveness of ideological and political education in higher vocational colleges. Mainly it is to adhere to the correct education orientation, strengthen the ideological and political education carrier construction and ideological and political education team building and insist on improving the student financial assistance and employment service system while combining the characteristics in ethnic areas.Under the new situation, ideological and political education of vocational students in Xinjiang must corresponds to the modern social changes in Xinjiang so as to promote the education modernization, all-round development of students and satisfy the demands for technical professionals of Xinjiang provinces. We must pay full attention to the ideological and political education of vocational colleges in Xinjiang, fully understand the new characteristics of the generation after 90s in ethnic regions and enhance their qualities in all aspects so as to make them an important force driving the economic and social development for Xinjiang autonomous region.
