The important position of the development of students’ emotion, modern education’s purpose is to promote the development of each student, the overall health. The new curriculum reform has been carried out for ten years, and put forward the "emotion, attitude and values" as the ultimate goal of teaching, so that teachers and students see the education of our country future dawn. Although the new curriculum idea advanced, but in the actual teaching only pays attention to the knowledge and ability of students, but the form optimization and concept of students’ emotional attitude development, insufficient attention. In rural areas, because of the weakness of teaching ideas, methods and teachers behind, and in the senior high school entrance examination system under the baton of junior high school geography teaching, there are many situations about paying more attention to knowledge than emotional education.The junior middle school students in rural areas basically in the boarding school, and most of left-behind children, students’ emotion is more deficient, plus most of geography teachers do not pay attention to the emotional education, which makes the emotional education to students is imminent.The first chapter is the introduction part mainly elaborates the background and significance of this study, the domestic and foreign research on emotional education review and summary and analysis of the current lack of research on emotional education in geography. The second chapter is the related concept of emotional education are defined and combed the theoretical basis of this study, explains the emotion, emotion education connotation, value and function; to determine the theoretical basis of the study consists mainly of pedagogy, educational psychology and the theory of humanism and constructivism theory. The third chapter analyzes the current junior high school geography teaching material(plate) in the emotional education content system, list, collation, analysis and comparison to the class as a unit. In the fourth chapter the questionnaire and conducted a questionnaire survey of students and teachers, the analysis of the current rural junior high school students and teachers in the presence of affective education problem. The fifth chapter of the fourth chapter of the problems reflected the affective teaching strategies accordingly, and then through the effectiveness of the strategy proposed by teaching experiment, finally further modify and improve the corresponding affective teaching strategy. The sixth chapter for the rural area teachers, and puts forward the evaluation method and index of emotional education is easy to operate.
