Reading is a basic skill that each person should master, and it is an important tool for people to learn knowledge. Reading teaching is an important part of Chinese teaching. Low efficiency of Chinese teaching happens, and often problems out on reading teaching; Students have resistance to Chinese classes, and the opinion is mostly on the teaching of reading; Some teachers feel the language lessons are difficult to carry out effectively, and the key is in the reading teaching.The high school Chinese course standard puts forward five high school Chinese curriculum goals: accumulation of integration, feel appreciation,comprehends, application development, discovery, innovation thinking, and each target is related to the reading teaching. This research is based on the new curriculum concept, as a medium, the Lijiang Number One High School, and the Gucheng no. 1High School, Yulong Number One High School and one as an object for research,through questionnaire survey and interviews, to understand the current situation and problems of Lijiang Number One High school Chinese reading teaching, analysis the cause of the problem and put forward the strategies for improvement.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. Replacement paper expatiates the significance, research contents, research methods and research status about this topic.The second part elaborated the related theory in reading teaching, including the content of the reading teaching and curriculum for senior high school.Reading teaching put forward the target, the theory for the research of this paper provides the necessary basis.In the third part, the author of three high school teachers and students in Lijiang urban area has carried on the questionnaire survey of Chinese reading teaching, and analyzes the survey data. Results show that the current high school Chinese teacher Lijiang city in the idea of reading teaching is more in conformity with therequirements of the new curriculum reform for the teaching in the process of reading teaching objectives, strategies and so on also is reasonable, but students in the teaching of reading is still to be lax about Chinese reading teaching, extracurricular reading situation is not optimistic.The fourth part, according to the survey of Lijiang Number One High,summarizes the problems existing in the Chinese reading teaching, and analyzes the causes of the problem. Problems mainly include the lack of students’ personal interest to the teaching of Chinese reading, there is less reading teaching and students’ reading tendency towards utilitarianism, lack of teachers and students of effective communication and dialogue, etc. Causes of these problems lies in the social environment of indifference, reading teaching examination-oriented education is still very big, the influence of deviation existing in students’ understanding of the language learning, etc.The fifth part, in view of the current high school Chinese reading teaching in lijiang, existing problems and reasons, put forward some countermeasures Chinese reading teachingof Lijiang Number One High School, including building attaches great importance to the language of the external environment, teachers should extracurricular work hard to construct the Chinese reading atmosphere in class, and students should try to develop good reading habits.
