With the continuous improvement of the socialist education in our country, the development of students in primary and middle schools, and the full implementation of quality education has been paid more and more attention by the whole society. However, China is an agricultural country. About 85% of the schools and 75% of the students are in rural areas in China. So the development of rural art education has a direct impact on the development of the school art education. With the implementation of the education policy of quality education, more and more people gradually shift their eyes from the cities to the countryside, and begin to investigate and study the rural schools around the country. However, at present, there is a lack of special research on the demand of rural primary and middle school art education in our country. Therefore, it is lack of basic understanding of the content and demand of art education in rural middle school students.For the above reasons, this study takes the students, parents and teachers of the FengHe town Junior middle school of Kunming city as the research object, and reveals the characteristics and influence factors of the art education in rural junior middle school students, in order to find out the strategy of promoting the development of the art education in rural areas.The research shows that:Although the starting point is low, the demand for the education of students and parents in rural areas has a variety of features, from the perspective of demand; the demand for the training of interest is very extensive.The factors that affect the demand for art education in rural junior middle school students mainly come from rural junior high school students (individual), students’ families (parents) as well as school and teachers in three aspects, which include interest factors, competitive factors, consumer factors, etc..Therefore, on the basis of theoretical analysis and investigation, this paper puts forward two suggestions:(1) to promote the development of rural junior high school students’art education policy support; (two) to establish a rural junior high school students art education diversified cooperation platform.
