There are large numbers of left-at-home women in rural areas in China. These rural left-behind women stay at home to take care of the children, supporting the elderly, engaged in agricultural production. They face the pressure from economy, life,spiritual aspects, could easily lead to labor cost overruns, mental burden, lack of security. SO how to improve the living conditions of these women and provide them proper social support and assistance are the major livelihood issues the Village Committee, the Women’s Federation and the government concern.In this paper, social-support network theory is applied, and strength perspective theory and social-work practice are combined, which lead to the in-depth analysis to rural left-at-home women’s needs and potential strengths. The analysis provide solutions to their problems and assist build a valid self-assist network in social-support aspect for them. The respondents discussing in this paper are the rural left-at-home women living in Luotian town Xiajiang county of Jian city. The first hand materials are collected through handing out questionnaires to 72 left-at-home women living in selected area and interviewing 7 particular women in the same condition. Besides, data analysis of left-behind women’s social support network of the status quo, characteristics and influencing factors of social support network are all involved. According to the data collected by questionnaires and interviews, different respondents in question may get investigated as a particular case, a group case or a community work case. Interventional effect from the point of view of rural women left behind on the author to intervene very satisfied, and has been very helpful in terms of social support, Such as through the home network get economic support, life support, by left behind women living in the community for support groups, skills training and other support, through the government, the establishment of left behind women’s rights and interests maintenance network, promote the development of left behind women’s ownIn the last part, after analyzing these left-at-home women’s problems and applying the social-work methods, the writer provides several suggestions on building the social-support system for rural left-at-home women in question, in hoping for improving and assisting the social support for these concerning women.
