Cooperative learning, because of its own advantages in paying attention to the differences of students’ personalities and study requests, arising the consciousness of attending and cooperating, training students’ abilities of discovering and solving problems, bringing up healthy personality and an international feeling and field of vision, is more and more being valued and is widely used in the educational reform.Qingdao No.62 Middle School,the instance of this study, started the reform three years ago. The main teaching mode in this reform is “Teacher-friend helping each other” group cooper- ative learning. We choose it as our study aim has the following meanings: First, the study can enrich the theories of cooperative learning. Through the study, we can help teachers choose the most suitable theories,then help improve the localization and practical effects of the interrelated theories. Secondly, the teachers’ abilities of using cooperative learning will be improved, because teachers will think deeply how to understand and use it better. In these ways, teachers will use it in teaching pratice better. Finally, our study help teachers possess scientific view about students. We also help teachers deeply understand the idea of “Student-centered ” and establish Students’ Prior Status to achieve the aim of the study--- To make students get all-round development.Although the mode “Teacher-friend helping each other” group cooperative learning has received some achievements, there are still some problems of the mode. First, Formalization exits in the practice of the mode, such as the simple understanding of concept, the programming and simplification in use as well as lack of skills etc. Secondly, The roles and functions of teachers are not correct or scientific. Teachers don’t pay more attention to the students’ skills training. Thirdly, The standard of “Teacher-friend ”and the construction of the group are not scientific. Fourthly, The evaluation system is not wholesome. Finally, School cannot take strong and useful actions to make sure the execution of reform and the new mode.Through mathematical statistic and logical analyzing the data of questionnaire survey, this study investigates the reasons for the problems. 1) The school is poor in administration and implementation of system and procedure. The cooperation of school managers, teachers, non-instructional persons and students isn’t enough. 2) The training for helping teachers change ideas, master interrelated theories and professional shills is formal, empty and not pointed. 3) The dysgenic influences caused by the-only-kid in the family also lead to students’ some special traits and behavior. However, the undesirable consequences even some poor habits are not well valued and analyzed by the school.Seeking the solutions to the problems is the key element of the thesis. The following are our suggestions. First, We suggest school needs make scientific systems about reforms and make efforts in making sure carrying out them, urge the teaching managers’ to fulfill their obligation. Secondly, school should try her best to strengthen the training of teachers to help improve the professional excellence, especially the ability of using the mode in the teaching. Thirdly, it’s necessary to pay attention to the management of teaching, the research of teaching.Fourthly, School should perfect the evaluation of the mode and make it play an important role in helping students get all-round development. Fifthly, the construction of study-group must be guided well by the teachers. Finally, school establishes a system of “cooperation between school and family,society” and make good use of the educational environment.We know scientific study methods can accurately reflect the objective laws of the objects of study and they can also lead us to attain scientific conclusions, as well as develop educational theories. The methods in this research include the method of literature study, the method of case study, the method of experience summary and the method of survey procedure. We use the method of literature study to read, and collect the existing data in the purpose of checking and arranging them well. With the method of survey procedure, we collect and analyze the practice of “Teacher-friend helping each other” group cooperative learning. With the help of the method of experience summary and based on the earlier theoretical research, We add our own ideas to others’ experience and make them systematized knowledge and integrate theory with practice. Using scientific theories, the objective laws about how to improve the use of cooperative learning can be reflected in our study.The cooperative learning is highly thought and welcomed because its own advantages. However, we still have some difficulty in the high efficiency,the localization, practicality, personality, as well as the specialization of the thesis. We will try our best to do something useful for the further development of the cooperative learning with the guiding of the experts and my tutor.
