With more and more international curricula introduced into our domestic schools, the number of the schools who involve in international curriculum in Shanghai is also growing dramatically. That`s why comparing the differences of basic education between home and abroad, seeking advanced teaching approaches of other countries and localizing the international curriculum in domestic schools concerning the specialties of domestic education are of great importance.Authorized by the International Program of Shanghai Shixi High School,the auther spent one semester together with 13 exchange students in Verde Valley School, Arizona, USA.During the stay there, the author observed almost every IB-DP Biology class. Furthermore,she had experienced several thorough discussions of activities in biology classes with Ms.Kristen and Mr. Andy, especially regarding to design, organization and evaluation. With the permission of the two biology teachers, the auther had taken great numbers of video of real class activities in their classes.In accordance to the Guide for IB-DP Biology, Criteria for Biology education of high schools in Shanghai, activities in biology classes in Verde Valley School and practice of migrating these activities in Shanghai Shixi High School, this research has analyzed the following parts: the comparison between Guide for IB-DP Biology and Criteria for Biology education of high schools in Shanghai, the comparison of biology class activities between Verde Valley School and Shanghai Shixi High School and the author`s personal experiences in the practice of migrating these activities in Shanghai Shixi High School.By comparing the Guide for IB-DP Biology and the Criteria for Biology education of high schools in Shanghai, the research has reached the conclusion that class activities are of great importance to both criteria and also raised several proposals for how to involve numerous class activities within the present limited class hours. From the comparison of biology class activities between Verde Valley School and Shanghai Shixi High School, the research discovered differences that lie in design, organization, teaching and learning theory,and assignment and also proposed some advice for transition in labs and for criteria of labs.By rethinking the author`s personal experiences in the practice of migrating these activities in Shanghai Shixi High School, the author organized a note of format of How to Migrating Foreign Class Activities in National Schools and also gave some suggestions for how to conquer the problems that might emerge when we migrating foreign class activities in national classes.
