The development of Art curriculum is a necessary link for expanding the content of art courses and required elements of enriching the content of teaching. Curriculum resources will not consciously into the field of art curriculum. In order to transform resources into an organic part of the curriculum,it needs to be developed and utilized by the teachers and students together, and combined with the principles of student oriented, practice oriented and practical. Based on the above principles, this paper takes the characteristic resources of Lu’an area in Anhui Province as an example,through the investigation, analysis, collection, sorting, select the red resources which are suitable for the students to learn, with aesthetic significance. From the perspective of curriculum development,I developed the following three local courses,namely: "Plan a" Red Art Resources "campus activities"(Comprehensive Exploration), with a theme of the activities in the class planning, work in groups, through the "collecting data-- sorting data-- using data " to guide the students to actively explore, research,creation and solve the problems appeared in the process, and finally to present the activity results in hand-painted works; " Bookmark design of Red Art Resources "(design and application), guides the students to carry on the reorganization, the collection, the design, the application to the Red Art elements, in order to develop students’ sense of design and improve their practical ability; "Touch the history--appreciation of Jinzhai revolutionary sculpture art"(appreciation and Commentary),through the appreciation of sculpture art of the old liberated areas of Jinzhai, learning simple sculpture knowledge, guide the students appreciation of sculpture art of different forms and intrinsic implication, improve students’ aesthetic consciousness and enhance students’ patriotic emotion. The development and utilization of Art curriculum resources is not a simple list of resources, but based on a certain teaching objectives,select the appropriate curriculum resources, and these resources are effectively integrated together.The development of these three curriculum is intended to create art teaching characteristics in the region,through the systematically aesthetic,practical, mental and physical teaching activities, let the students to master the basic knowledge and skill of art. It not only broadens the students’ artistic vision, but also enriches the aesthetic education and revolutionary tradition education.
