Since the 1980s. Yu YongZheng has been one of the typical Chinese teachers in primary school. He graduated from school in 1962. and then got into his education career. Since then, he has been always a teaching practitioner who is used to thinking during the whole teaching life. Thanks to the last decades of years teaching practice, the wise educational truth of teacher Yu precipitated out. And his brilliant teaching arts got the opportunity to born. There is no doubt that all of these experiences have instructive value to optimize Chinese reading teaching in primary school.This study puts the Chinese reading teaching idea and teaching art of Yu YongZheng as research object. And this thesis will be divided into three chapters. The first chapter focuses on analyzing the primary school Chinese reading teaching of Mr. Yu, Especially his thought about teaching goal, teaching content and teaching method. This study argues that Yu YongZheng’s idea about Chinese reading teaching goal is unique. He jumps out of the narrow field of vision that only focus on reading teaching, and looks at the whole learning filed of Chinese, then makes the final teaching targets. In his opinion, developing students’listening ability, speaking ability, reading ability and writing ability should be the core target of the Chinese reading teaching. At the same time, teacher Yu pays attention to the accumulation of language, the cultivation of learning interest and the development of good learning habits. Each target revolves around Chinese learning, and points to the all-around development of students’Chinese accomplishment. This kind of idea about Chinese teaching goal is not only concise, but also meaningful and practical. His idea about content of reading teaching is related to his idea of teaching target. Teacher Yu argues that teachers need to see the emotion and thought of one article as teaching clues, which string up the education of Chinese learning method and language expression. Based on the teaching of these two aspects, teachers guide students to master the learning skill. It is simple and refined that teachers emphasize to extract language points worth exploring and guide students to learn writing, appreciating words, reading and other language expression. To effectively achieve the teaching goal, Yu YongZheng’s idea about Chinese reading teaching method is also penetrating. He claims that students should learn to experience during the process of reading. Students should practice to listen, speak, read and write. It is necessary for teachers to give reasonable demonstration, meanwhile, avoid excessive explanation and analysis. Such method of Chinese reading teaching is concise, flexible and interesting. The second chapter will discuss Yu YongZheng’s Chinese reading teaching art. There are four kinds of typical teaching arts in his teaching practice. They are the art of ducting new class, the art of asking questions, the art of blackboard drawing and the art of expression. This chapter chooses these four arts as research object. This study believes that teacher Yu pays more attention to stimulate student’s interest in learning at the beginning of class. Sometimes, he will indicate the angle of reading and teach phrase language. When asking questions, the question had been chosen effectively exercise student’s ability of thinking and expression. Besides, the way of asking questions is conductive and the given comments are incentive. Teacher Yu is good at using the art of blackboard drawing to break through the learning difficulties and offer students materials that used to practice language ability. In addition, he often optimizes spoken language and use body language cleverly at the same time. So, it is usual to achieve perfect teaching effect. The third chapter will discuss the enlightenment from teacher Yu’s thought of Chinese reading teaching and his art of teaching practice. So that to provide effective advice for optimizing today’s Chinese reading teaching in primary school.
