A Study Of Discussion - Oriented Teaching Method In Ideological And Political Course Of Senior High School

Based on current political materials, guided by mainstream ideology, with scientific demonstration as its process and textbook analysis as its premise, motivated by tow-way communication and established in the atmosphere of democracy and fair, the discussion-based teaching method is warmly accepted by both teachers and students, which is an important approach for teachers to organize effective teaching activities as well as for students to learn efficiently. Through the implementation and application of discussion-based teaching method in ideological and political course in senior high school, teaching style is shifted from “face-to-face teaching” to “group discussion”, and students’ learning style is changed from passive learners to active learners. Such a shift, on the one hand, makes it possible for teachers to develop themselves into active learners, explorers and innovators. On the other hand, it enables students to grow into learners who are good at active learning, exploration, cooperation and thinking. Therefore, it’s safe to draw the conclusion that discussion-based teaching method is a win-win strategy in ideological and political course in senior high school. Application and implementation of this method in classes, students associations, optional courses and school online platforms enable teachers to become pioneers in teaching, make the textbook compilation the base on which the discussion-based teaching method is carried out, turn the online resource into the filling stations for the sustainable development of teaching method, and change optional courses and students associations into the experiment field of teaching methods. Through exerting a great variety of resource, the development of the discussion-based teaching method will be effectively advanced.
