Yingjiang First senior High school is located in the border area of China with lots of minority groups living in. Because of various reasons, the education here falls behind seriously, especially when it comes to the education of freshmen. Due to the lack of tinking ability in chemistry, which is a disadvantage of all-round development of students, they can’t get a good result in exam, In order to help students to learn chemistry better, this paper is going to discuss the purpose and strategy of freshmen’s thinking ability in chemistry.First of all, in the preface the paper expounds the background and significance of the chemistry thinking training of freshmen in our school and introduces the current situation of the research at home and abroad. In the second chapter, based on the constructivist learning theory, cognitive learning theory, humanism teaching theory, multiple intelligence theory and thinking psychology theory, this paper explaines the purpose of developing thinking of chemistry. In the third chapter, investigating on the characteristics of freshmen, the existing problems and the training of the thinking ability in our school, the paper provides the basis of training thinking strategy of chemistry. In the forth chapter, the important research on anglicizing ability, divergent thinking ability, quick thinking ability and innovative thinking ability of the frontier in our high school is the focus of this paper. In the fifth chapter, it points out the problems of the training process in thinking and puts forward the prospect of chemistry thinking ability in the future teaching.
