The paper aims to provide new approach for kindergarten curriculum reform with the postmodern curriculum essence.In the first part of the paper, some postmodern curriculum theories by Doll, Capra and Slattery are introduced, main characteristics are generalized.In the second part, the paper discusses the modernity manifestation of kindergarten curriculum and its shortcomings on the basis of curriculum concept, goals, contents and implement, and then rethinks these problems in postmodern curriculum theory.The paper also suggests that the modernity of kindergarten curriculum mainly lies in duality thinking modes, misunderstanding of curriculum projects and goals, curriculum close and neglect of teachers and kindergartens' power,etc.The third part of the paper deals with the necessity and possibility of postmodern curriculum introduction, then postmodern curriculum characteristics advocated by Reggio's have been presented and proved. With the examples of Reggio's , the author concerns self-organization, teacher's role and reflection of postmodern curriculum and suggests what we can learn from those in order to rethink kindergarten curriculum reform. The thinking mode of postmodern curriculum theory is proposed at the end of this paper.
