This paper focuses on developmental teacher appraisal. By documenting, interviewing and questionnaire, the author found that the practice of teacher appraisal in primary and middle schools is not at all promising. There remain so many problems as that teachers do not favorably receive the appraisal and take non-cooperative attitude to it. Considering these problem, the paper argues that perhaps the best way to solve these problems is to adopt a new evaluation system --thedevelopmental teacher appraisal, which aims at teacher development rather rewards and punishments. |
