Research-based learning is arising as one part of school-base curriculum, accompanying economic of the whole world and the times of knowledge economic. The theory of school-base curriculum and research-based learning is expounded, which reveals that the history and current of research-based learning, and tell us the idea that research-based learning is school-base curriculum of country curriculum. When mathematics education confronts opportunity and challenge of 21 century, it is important that we talk about research-based learning deeply above school-base curriculum.The basic characteristic of mathematical research-based learning is practice, open, independence and procedure. Since mathematical research-based learning is beginning among schools that are lack of the whole practice, by students from two schools answering questionnaire, with a purpose to fine out something common in our minds, and so as to benefit mathematical research-based learning carried out smoothly, we find that the common dots may be described the following 5 points: (1) put students to life and advance their abilities of survive; (2) make students know the charm of mathematical culture; (3) make students get information initiatively and the idea of applying mathematics; (4) make students obtain active practice about resolving and researching mathematical problem; (5) develop students' duties to society. All above this, we must think over questions about school, teachers and teaching deeply.During the procedure of actualizing mathematical research-based learning, designing the problem should receive the following principle: researching problem and course curriculum recruit each other; rule and creation combine; development roundly and develop personality unify; actual effect and adjust measures to local conditions; interest and variety; act and lead on one's own. Base on students' disciplinarian of acknowledge forming and developing, mathematical research-based learning of school may be divided into forming researching, opening researching and applying researching so on. During the procedure of actualizing mathematical research-based learning, we may get across three channels all above this: lead students to mathematical research-based learning in class; use mathematical open problem to actualize mathematical research-based learning; let students experience life to actualize mathematical research-based learning. Of course, mathematical experiment is a road to actualize mathematical research-based learning synthetically, we analyze the case " the cube in life" by Hou Liwei of Beijing Eleven School in order to provide a good case for actualizing mathematical research-based learning.
