Though a survey of recent document on educational assessment in kindergarten and investigation of current assessment situation, I find it crucial to transfer developmental evaluation concepts to practice. Taking the development of young children's creation of fine arts as assessment objects, guided by modern advanced educational assessment theory, the author chooses portfolio assessment as basic evaluation methods. In the thesis, following are the main ideas on how to carry out fine arts portfolio assessment. Firstly, the aims of fine arts portfolio assessment on kindergarten are determined. Secondly, systematic analysis is made to reference system, which is made by value objects, evaluation perspective, evaluation fields, evaluation standards. Evaluation standards as a core element in assessment plan, are established based on the analysis of art education aims, formulated by the major laws and regulations of preschool education, the generalization of common elements of art educational goals by art education scholars, the new concepts of art educational reforms in kindergarten, the references of domestic and international art assessment plans and the psychological development research of young children's fine arts. Thirdly, the fine arts portfolio assessment methods are also introduced according to time sequence. Finally, reflection is done on a series of aspects such as the reliability and validity of fine arts portfolio assessment, the utility and feasibility of evaluation standards, the merits and the problems needed to be studied of fine arts portfolio assessment.
