As an attempt to the reform of our teacher training, along with the curriculum reform of foundation education, Participatory Teacher Training (PTT) spreads out broadly. Its theoretical researches and practice explorations are attracting people's attention. Using the methods of literature research, questionnaire, locale observe, interview, discussion and others, the thesis make researches on PTT. The main contents of the thesis are as follows:The first chapter probes into the connotation, background and values of PTT. As the basis of the research, this chapter set forth main ideas about PTT. Then it analyzes the background of its developing in our country. Then it discusses the values of PTT to the development of teacher, to the development of teacher training and to the curriculum reform of foundation education.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of PTT. From five aspects of knowledge theory, learning theory, curriculum and teaching theory, adult education theory and training design theory, this chapter probes into the main theoretical basis of PTT.The third chapter investigates and analyzes the status quo of the teacher'sparticipation of training. Reviewing the status quo of the teacher's participation of training,this chapter comes to the conclusion that, there is "new expect " vs. "utility view" inthe intention of training, "participatory" vs. "economic view" in the manner of training,"practice" vs. "system view" in the content of training.The fourth chapter discusses the principle, process and strategies of implementing PTT.Firstly, it brings forward four principles of implementing PTT: Participate equality and co act, using experiences and construct knowledge initiatively, problem-centeredness, pay attention to training process, learning from experience. Secondly, it discusses three main parts of the process: preparation, implementation and evaluation. Lastly, it set forth four strategies of implementing PTT: interest strategies, human intercourse strategies, various ways strategies and group activity strategies.The last of thesis, which reflects some important questions correlative to PTT: the efficiency of PTT, PTT and cultural tradition, gives the direction of further research.
