The job technique training of measurement-evaluation before and after their incumbency for geography teachers in senior high school is almost a blank .so the measurement-evaluation for geography teaching in senior high school is a weak link. At present, the common problems for senior school students are: the overload of learning and homework, the endless exercises and competitions, the low reliability and validity for examination. This research system for the evaluation of geography teaching in senior high school is just based on the problems .Is consists of its concept, function, aim, development trend, adaptation to the reform of NCEE, problems and strategy.Having referred to many cultural heritages, I made a deep and creative study of the measurement-evaluation for geography teaching applying the theories of education, psychology, psychology of education and educational measurement and evaluation on the base of extensive investigation and research.With some examples, I have made some creative statements with sufficient arguments about the technique level of the measurement-evaluation of geography teaching, such as: the scientific handle of compiling test questions, the controlling of reliability and validity for examination, the skills of compiling test questions, analyses to grades and test papers. I have also made some discussion about the theory and practice on the examination reforms in school, the weakening demarcation and selective function of exams, the strengthening of the timely analyses and judgments to exams and so on. This research has given some theory and practice support, which helps to the change from teaching for exams to quality education, to geography teaching in senior high school. It will give geography teachers in senior high school a great help and guide to overcome the problems in the evaluation for geography teaching.
