Science-Technology-Society(STS) education which was born in the 1960 s presented booming trend in Europe and other development countries, and expanded distribution in the world. Although STS education has grown late, it presents a good momentum. Because of the advanced concept of STS education, the enrich of the connotation and the innovative of the teaching methods, the first-line teachers will take time to learning, adaptation and accumulation. So the study of the evaluation about STS education is lagging behind, and the tool evaluated the outcomes of the STS education in the middle schools has not been reported, which is not proportionate to the health development of STS educationThrough the educational measurement and evaluation principles, the paper which utilizes STS from four versions(compulsory) widely used in biological materials prepares a indexes system of senior high students’ SYS awareness evaluation. After a few of probation, feedback and revision, the indexes system will become a scientific, feasible, objective and believable tool for evaluating the STS awareness of students. And, it will provide reference materials for improving the quality of teaching of STS education. what’ s more, it will provide reliable reference frame for China development and reform programs.The establishment of the evaluation indexes system is based on students’ biological science literacy in the proposed requirements for the understanding of science, technology and social relations in the <<ordinary high school biology curriculum standards(experimental)>>,and Views on Science-Technology-Society(VOSTS) and pubic scientific literacy survey lists, and so on etc. First, the evaluation indexes system constructed in this paper contains two first grade indicators which are "knowing of STS" and "understanding of STS". Second, the paper constructs seven second grade indicators. From repeating discussions, testing and inspection of questions, the paper established two sets of test paper of "knowing of STS questionnaire" and "understanding of STS test volume" and analyzes the results on the basis of the construction of evaluation indexes system. Though the analysis about evaluation results, the STS awareness evaluation indexes system of senior high students is full and reasonable, and the reliability analysis through Cronbach coefficient,correlation coefficient analysis of parallel classes and grade scoring and statistical test certificate can reflect the highly reliability, validity of the STS educational philosophy.The innovation of this paper are the following: 1. established the evaluation indexes system from using educational measurement and the principle of evaluation; 2.reflected the status of STS in the school from evaluating the STS awareness of the students; 3.reflected the concept of STS education through the level of measurement factor value which references on people’s lives and society-related development in real life...
