In recent years, the reform of college moral education has been continuously carried out to break away from the traditional model, yet the effectiveness of which is not desirable in general. Of course it is the result of many factors, but the main reason is that college moral tutors can't switch their roles timely. They are the direct executives of moral education, so whether the reform of moral education can be successful mainly lies in the teachers. Furthermore, whether moral tutors have definite role consciousness, and switch their roles in time at he requirements of the times is the prerequisite to the fulfillment of imparting knowledge and educating people. However, so far most college moral tutors are still restricted by the traditional role consciousness of spreading morality, imparting knowledge and explaining puzzles, and are not sensitive to the new requirements put forward by the development of modern society and individuals. Therefore, switching the roles of moral tutors becomes a new and urgent problem for study and discussion in the course of the reform of college moral education, but not much attention is paid to the problem. Although there are some relevant studies, they are all far from systematic and deep; especially those about the college moral tutors are indeed something rare. For the above-mentioned reasons, the present study tries to offer some effective measures for the reform of college moral education through analyzing and exploring the necessity, directions and strategies of switching college moral tutors' roles in a new period.Nowadays, the appearance of information network and global economy has strongly affected the relatively pure environment of our college moral education, and pushed it into a larger and more complicated background of the times, which has extended the students' space and channels forinformation unprecedented. So in this new situation, the roles of traditional authority of college moral tutors are becoming more and more in compatible with present needs because of their instilling morality into students. Meanwhile, the development trends of the opening, creative, lifelong and individual modern education and the new characteristics of college students' thought in a new period require college moral tutors to switch their roles timely with the mental outlook going with time and the enterprising ideology.The main directions of the roles switch of college moral tutors in a new period are as follows: from a moral education authority mainly inculcating the students with morality to an instructor and growth company; from a traditional pedagogue to an expert in moral education; from an merely executive of moral education course to a designer and creator; from an isolated individual to a cooperator and constructor of community civil morality.The main strategies of switch are as follows: firstly, fostering the concept of subject-oriented moral education, which is the key to achieve roles switch; secondly, enhancing roles learning and trying to improve self-quality, which is the base of achieving roles switch; finally, establishing necessary systems, which is the strong guarantee of achieving roles switch.
