Chinese communists have long attached importance to ideological and ethical education, which is considered the lifeblood of economy and all other lines of work. Hence, our party's education policy gives priority to ideological and ethical education over all responsibilities of schools. Since the foundation of China, especially the open policy, a great number of educators have been discussing and seeking approaches in this field and obtain great achievements. With the reform furthered, we have been aware that the emotional education of ideology and ethics, which should have been centered on humanism, is so distorted that it has become a sheer theoretical knowledge imparted to students as one of theory-oriented, knowledge-oriented and examination-oriented course. Thus, students, on one hand, find it so boring that they won't be inspired; on the other, the feel they can't rely on the content to solve practical ideological problems. It is high time for the society to advocate "quality education". And in the new era, the ideological and ethical education in schools are quite demanding and challenging. The Party Central Committee has specified the need to investigate the characteristics of such education in current situation and create new ways for it. It is clear the current education can't cater to the demand of comprehensive quality fostering in the new century. Therefore, the education needs reforming, reinforcing and improving.Under the guidance of Marxism practical education and communist party's theory of ideological and ethical education, in accordance with the requirement of "strengthening ideological and ethical education" in the 16th People's Congress report by comrade Jiang Ze Min, through the study of theories concerned, investigations, reference accumulation as well as experience of practical education in this field for years, this essay has a scientific understanding of experiencing education in ideological and ethical education (abbreviated to "experiencing education") and its significance in fostering talents of ability with political integrity. It also elaborates experiencing education, and focuses on the process and practical approaches to it.The first part of this essay concerns scientific understanding of experiencingeducation in respect of its concept, feature and its relationship with application.The second part of the essay illustrates the great significance of raising the concept of experiencing education. The experiencing education in schools is the inevitable results of ideological and ethical education development in schools, and it is the rethink and innovation of ideological and ethical education in schools.The third part of the essay clarifies the process of experiencing education, which mainly covers three facets: first, it is aimed to obtain true experience, establish profound apprehension and form good behaviors. Second, it deals with relations between man and man, man and society, man and nature and also man and self. Third, its approach is to encourage students to experience in their own perspective, in other's perspective and experience in fixed event and circumstances.The fourth part discusses six approaches of experiencing education. The first is imitation and reappearance; the second is situation affection; the third is exchange and improvement; the fourth is demonstration of examples; the fifth is survey and refinement; the sixth is practice.Based on school ideological and ethical education and findings of others' research, this essay, in its exclusive perspective, explores experiencing education in schools. Managing to make clear of operation of such education in schools, this essay is aimed to seek feasible methods of experiencing education implementation so as to strengthen school ideological and ethical education for the sake of its practicability, usefulness and positive ness an to provide reference for comprehensive advance of teenagers.
