Currently, the education informationalization is highly regarded as an important act to promotethe education reform and the state comprehensive strength in various countries all over the world. Asan important constituent of the education informationalization, the construction of online educationalresources plays a vital role in the development of the education informationalization. As one of themost advanced countries either in terms of the technological or the educational level, America boastsits advanced online educational resources. In recent years, by promoting the reform in the elementaryeducation and by taking advantage of its unique social cultural traditions and its political economicalsystems, America has accumulated many experiences which we can borrow to facilitate theconstruction of the educational resources, thus benefiting the education informationalization in ourown country.This thesis intends to make a complete and profound study on the online education resources inAmerica through the analysis of the main body of the construction, the content and the form, in aneffort to give a general account of the whole situation of the educational resources in America. Besides,the thesis also explores various deep-gong causes such as the education management system, the fiscaland taxation policy as well as the social and cultural tradition of America, accounting for the currentsituation of the America online education resources. Based on the analysis, the enlightenments we canget from American educational resources to benefit our own country will be elaborated on.The thesis consists of 5 chapters. The topic is introduced in the first chapter in which the conceptin the thesis ----"Online Educational Resources"is clarified; the significance of the educationalresources construction in the education informationalization is analyzed; the objective of the researchas well as the major research object----GEM is introduced.The analysis and the introduction of the American educational resources will be covered in thesecond chapter: Through the major case study of GEM, the main body and content constitutes of theAmerican educational resources are studied and certain classifications and the content of the Americaeducational resources are studied through abundant examples of networks and resources.The third chapter is concerned with the analysis of the features of American educationalresources.Based on the former 2 chapters, the forth chapter probes into the factors in forming and affectingthe development of America educational resources: the direct cause can be attributed to its advancedinformation technology and the application of information technology to education, promoted by thereform in the elementary education at the end of the last century. Besides, there are some other factors:the long practice of emphasizing education in the American social and cultural tradition, the multiplefinancing sources, facilitated by the fiscal policy and certain related laws and regulations stimulatingand guiding people in active contribution to the public undertakings including the field of education,as well as the system of setting up educational programs, mainly granted by the local government.All these factors mentioned above exert certain influence on the educational resources constructionmodes and features.The enlightenments we can draw from American educational resources to benefit our owncountry will be elaborated on in the fifth chapter. ,...
