This is 21 century, which is an Informational Century. Information has become one of the most important resources. How to search and use information quickly and effectively has become one of the necessary qualifications of every people, so there's a heated tendency of learning information technology. During my research, I find that there exist great differences of information technology instruction development in different places and the information technology level of each student, academic motivation, intelligence, metacognition level and cognitive style are different. Because the teaching methods are uniform , individual teaching contents teaching methods and evaluation are appealed by the students.The optimization theory of instruction tells us when the teachers realize the difference among the students and can teach students accordingly to their individual learning styles , s/he can achieve the best teaching results. So the teachers should use individual teaching strategies to inspire students' incentive motivation and achieve the best teaching effect according to the students' differences. In addition, different persons with different abilities are needed on account of the multiple development of the society. So students should be allowed to choose the learning contents and ways according to their own interests and abilities, which is advocated in the curriculum standard of 《The Standard for IT Curriculum of Common High Middle School》 .How to realize individual instruction in information technology education is discussed in this article on the basis of the analysis of the disadvantages of old individual instructions and in terms of the theories such as multiple intelligences theory ,learning style theory , cognitive style , constructivism and so on. The author discussed all the phases of individual instruction in information education. Three teaching organization forms are proposed and four principles of individual instructions are summarized by the author. The author applies and develops many personalized instruction strategies, such as improved-layered teaching strategy, project-basedLearning strategy, teaching through multiple intelligence strategy, self-regulated learning strategy, learning style matched or unmatched strategy according to the students' differences in information technology level, academic motivation, intelligence, metacognition level and cognitive style. At last, the advantage of Personalized Instruction in Information Technology Course was confirmed by the teaching practice for a term. In the teaching practice I find out the teaching effect by many ways such as setting up students' records, having phase exams, seminar and inquiry.
