Preliminary Study Of The Implementation Of Environmental Education In High School

In the world of today, greater attention is being paid to environmental protection by various countries and their people. They have never put forward such an urgent demand before. The public's view toward value and many other issues has begun to be influenced and changed by the shift in their view of environment. The stage of senior high school plays an important part in a person's growth, as it is a period when his minds and thoughts grow from puerile to mature. What's more, the subject of chemistry explains the world from a particular angle and it is closely related to the environmental problem. Therefore, improving students' sense of environmental protection by giving them an environmental education in chemistry teaching in senior high school is our destination and tenet.In this thesis, through studying the development of environmental education, the general situation of the environmental education both at home and abroad and the present situation in china, I will try to make it clear why environmental education in senior high school is necessary and important and make a brief introduction of the practical environmental education in senior middle school. Besides, I'll offer some suggestion to deal with the challenge that school-based curriculum of which environmental education is an example is facing. I strive to change the trend of the close and traditional education which fixes more attention on transferring knowledge, and to look into this subject by means of taking part in activities and infecting students through emotion and surroundings. I intend to form an effective way of teaching which is helpful to attract students' attention to stimulate their minds, raise their concern for environment, give them a sense of environmental protection and thus make our country develop continuously as well as the whole world.
