As the worsening of human survival environment and the enhancing of Human's awareness of environmental protection, Environmental education is receiving more and more attention. In recent years, in the process of implementing the strategy of sustainable development, more attention from all walks of life home and abroad becomes to be highly paid to environment education. School education on environment has already been the needs of the development of the times. With the new ring of the education curriculum reform, national, the local level, and the school curriculum mode elementary has the implementation of the created new ideas for the school environment education.This scientific research topic is carried on in a nine-year consistent school to learn how to use the school own curriculum resources to exploit and implement the school-based curriculum on environmental education to make students from different grades obtain the basic knowledge of environmental protection so as to improve their consciousness in environmental protection, and to promote their ability of environmental protection. Meanwhile the education properly adapts the students different ages and cognition, which can achieve the best teaching results, Furthermore, the advancement of the curriculum greatly meets the needs of students, stimulates the students'interest in study, and enhances their ability through learning the course of environment.The researchers mainly use the following methods like documentation, questionnaire, interviewing, statistics and educational practice. Through combing the development of the school-based curriculum and the history of environment education, we become to understand the different modes in the process of developing school-based curriculum, be able to analyze the education present situation and the existent problems in carrying the course home and abroad as well as the meaning and value for developing school-based curriculum. So this thesis supplies the elemental theory basis for developing the school-based curriculum.In the process of developing and practicing the school-based curriculum on environmental education, firstly we did investigation beforehand to know about the feasibility of the development of school-based curriculum. Then we determined the content and the grades of students which would be used after researching students' cognitive characteristics of different ages. After that, we prepared three sets of curriculum teaching materials for three different grades, which is Environmental Enlightenment for Grade Three, Environmental Science for Grade Six, and Environmental Problems and Regulations for Grade Eight. Finally, we ensured the methods of teaching and learning, and thus making the system of evaluation to school-based curriculum on environment education.After a one-term implementation of school-based curriculum, I have received the following conclusions:First, the nine-year-consistent school-based curriculum implementation can promote the students'development, through which students can gradually learn the knowledge on environment and enhance themselves to be more conscious about environmental protection. Second, both teachers and schools can develop with the school-based curriculum implementation. After analyzing the problems existing in the course, I also give suggestions as follows. We should greatly strengthen the study and cooperation as well, improve teachers'abilities of developing school-based curriculum, perfect and diversify the evaluation forms, and use the environmental education resources better.
