Through the comparison in selections between the old suit of text books and: the new ones, and through the investigation and the interview an the literary Chinese from the front line of teaching and learning, this thesis analyzesthe actual state about teaching and studying of wen-yen writings at present, finds its existing issue and deficiency, and triesto put forward methods to soften and to solve the above problem.The paper is composed of three chapters. The first chapter depicts the selections features and instruction requirement of the literary Chinese through the old-new comparison. Pay attention to its new guiding ideology and its new teaching notion embodied by the comparison. The second chapter, based on the result of interview and the questionnaire investigation, analyzes teachers and students' teaching attitude and appraise the influence this educational reform has brought about on teachers and students from the following various angles respectively: wen-yen writings themselves, wen-yen classroom, multimedia means, students-main-piece and teachers-leading, determining and reviewing in the teaching and so on. This chapter also finds and narrates the actual existing issue and deficiency. The third chapter, directing towards the above issue, puts forward improvement tactics as follows:Ⅰ) To elect and to edit wen-yen writings according to the teaching feedback about them and the criterion of simple and easy writings.Ⅱ) To update teachers' teaching conception and to enhance teachers' diathesis.Ⅲ) To trigger high school students' learning interesting on the basis of their psychological feature.Ⅳ) To change the testing and evaluating method on wen-yen and to stimulate teachers and students' enthusiasm.Ⅴ) Based on the new teaching requirement of wen-yen, to select appropriate teachingapproach. In this section penman tries to lodge his own teaching model——reading-recitingquestionnaire method.
