It points out in the Skeleton of National Medium and Long-Term Program forEducation Reform and Development (2010-2020) that we should value and supportnational educational career, promoting the development of Chinese language teachingtremendously. Chinese textbooks play an overwhelmingly important role in Chineselanguage teaching, whereas the quality of Chinese textbooks is up to a reasonableevaluation criterion of textbooks. This paper mainly adopts documentary researchingmethod, theoretical researching method and survey researching method, being engagedin the construction of a evaluation criterion of the primary school’s textbook ofChinese in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The researching fruit of this paper hasimportant theoretical value in the enrichment and perfection of evaluation theories ofchina’s textbooks, and also has greatly important realistic significance on improvingthe editing quality of primary school’s textbooks in China’s minority regions.This paper is composed of five chapters as follows.The first chapter is introduction. It firstly introduces the origin, causes andsignificance of this research. Secondly it summarizes related references about thispaper. And thirdly it gives the researching objective and content in this paper. Lastly itanalyzes the researching thoughts and methods of this paper.The second chapter states the general idea about evaluation of textbooks in theaverage middle and primary schools. It analyses the fundamental structure of textbooksin the average middle and primary schools, putting forward there are four dimensions,i.e., compiling philosophy, content selecting, representation and editing levels in thetext-book evaluation criterion for average middle and primary schools, with thestatement of theoretical grounds.In the third chapter it gives the academic conception about evaluation criterion ofChinese text-books in the primary schools in Xinjiang uygur Autonomous Region.Based on the evaluation dimension about middle and primary schools stated in thesecond chapter, and the realistic characteristics in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, it analyzes Chinese Curriculum Criterion in Full-time System Middle and PrimarySchools (trial version), and academically construct the concept of evaluation criterionof Chinese textbook for primary schools in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.In the fourth chapter, it focus on the investigation study with several actual casesbased on the evaluation criterion of academic conception constructed, and then makesan attempt to revise the evaluation criterion of Chinese textbook for primary schools inXinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, after analyzing the investigation result,.The fifth chapter is conclusion and discussions.
