The overall implementation of the innovation of mathematics curriculum at quality-oriented education level has enhanced the further development of mathematics curriculum. While, teaching materials, as the support and the carrier of mathematics course, is of vital importance in curriculum innovation. Therefore, the research objective of this thesis is the adaptability of teaching materials in mathematics curriculum innovation.And this study has its realistic values in the following three aspects: first, it provides reference for schools and districts in the choice of teaching materials; second, it gives some corresponding basis for the revision of teaching materials; last, it can help us keep pace with the implementation of curriculum innovation. In the meanwhile, it shows its theoretical significance: firstly, in relation to some teaching material theories concerned; secondly, with regards to the theory of curriculum objects.Based on the background and significance of this study, this thesis poses two principal problems: on the one hand, the conception and connotation of teaching material from the angle of the range of teaching material; on the other hand, the various parameters influencing the adaptability of teaching materials and its influence.This thesis, first of all, defines the teaching material driving from the notion of new curriculum: on the basis of educational guideline of the nation and Mathematics Curriculum Standard, a series of valuable carriers of mathematics knowledge in order to realize mathematics specific function in the cultivation of human in order to motivate students' interest, to satisfy different students' needs, to lead students to obtain benign emotional experience by means of active thought, cooperation and communication in the process of mathematics teaching. The following is about the range of mathematics teaching material in this study that is, based on the new curriculum standard, the experimental mathematics textbook that has been examined and approved within Chongqing municipality. Thirdly, by means of the analysis of curriculum objective, the key parameters are teachers, students and parents who altogether exert influence on the implementation of new teaching materials. And consequently, to establish research tools concerned and the research method and steps are set up. Fourthly, this study includes sample cases in Chongqing municipality. Fifthly, this study quantitates the investigation result and conducts statistics test. Sixthly, it analyzes the statistics result in detail.Seventhly, in terms of investigation, this thesis puts forward specific suggestions about the revision and application of new teaching material: to enhance the propagation of new curriculum innovation, to strengthen teacher development and to improve the construction of teaching network in the countryside. Moreover, more attention should be paid to adaptability in the compilation of teaching material and in the choice of teaching material.
