At present, the new-curriculum reform is developing prosperously in the field of China's elementary education, so improving teachers' professional knowledge and abilities becomes a must. As a result of the ignorance from the society, as well as many local education administrations, lots of non-key middle schools are getting into trouble. In my opinion, in order to get out of the trouble, non-key schools must pay much attention to educational research as well as the teachers' further education, which is a must for schools, especially for non-key schools to improve their teaching qualities.To a certain extent, teachers' attitude towards the educational research, their personal qualities and their ways of research have a direct effect upon the development of the educational research in their schools. In view of this, I have made a survey of the educational research in some non-key middle schools. My aim is to find out the cause of some problems and the solution to them.The dissertation is made up of four parts .Part one: summarizing the content, characteristic, meaning and development of teachers' educational research, revealing the demands upon teachers as well as their educational research because of the new-curriculum reform and throwing light on the importance and probability of teachers' educational research in non-key schools.Part two is an investigation of the current conditions of the teachers' educational research of non-key schools in the city of Yancheng by means of questionnaires and interviews. The result shows the teachers' attitude towards the educational research in non-key schools can't meet the demands required in the new-curriculum. In general, teachers show little interest in the new-curriculum reform and they haven't truly realized the importance of the reform. The results of research are not satisfactory and the way of doing it is not quite proper. By comparing the educational research in non-key schools with that in key schools, I find the educational research in non-key schools is below the level of key schools.In part three, I made a deep analysis to the existing problems on educational research among non-key teachers and schools. The writer pointed out, to the existing problems, some reasons are from the local educational administrative bureaus and schools. To bureaus, the main reason is from the deviation of the policy, for example, lack of the promotion to educational reformation, shortage of financial investment on non-key schools, etc; To schools, the main reasons are from mismanagement, unclearness of the scientific and research gui-ding ideology, belittling to scientific research by school management, etc. Some reasons are from teachers themselves. For instance, the mysticism and useless viewpoint affect teachers' cognition to the educational research; Partial viewpoint of "Enrollment quotas is first" affects teachers' enthusiasm to the educational research; Neglect of educational theory caused the shortage of teachers' research knowledge and capability.Part four is suggestions and solutions.I think, to improve the healthy development on educational research to non-key teachers and schools,educational admin istrative bureaus, schools and teachers have to work hard together.First, Local educational administrative bureaus should actively offer the condition which can be helpful to teachers' scientific research.The second, schools should correct scientific and research guiding ideology, make a reasonable management strategy to science and research, create a good scientific and research environment, and establish a wholesome institution and system to educational science and research. The third, teacher have to improve the cognition to scientific research, strengthen the study of theory, and reform the activities on scientific research.
