Build A Harmonious Society Under The Educational Equity Study

Equality is one of the goals that mankind is seeking for. Educational equality as the extension and development of equality concept is the dream that human society diligently strives after. With the rapid development human society in 20th century, education has become the most important component for the entire society. Although during more than 50 years' efforts our country has gotten great progress in the field of educational equality, for there have been many historical and realistic reasons, the current situation of the educational equality in our country is not satisfactory. Pursuing for education equality is the effective method for the realization of social equality. So it has become a hot issue in the development of education nowadays. This paper makes the harmonious society which was brought forward in the 4th meeting of the 16th Chinese Communist's Congress its background, relatively examining the equality for basic and higher education learners in the educational system operation, including the rights of getting education, the proper treatment during educating and the result of education.In fact, educational inequality mainly originates from various kinds of factors, which involve economic condition, governmental system, traditional concept and the individual reasons, and so on.Hence, in order to construct the more harmonious society, the educational equality should be developed; and the basic measures for realizing educational equality mainly include: the efforts from the government, the society, the school and the teacher.
