Seeing that nowadays in our country the rigid management model adopted by school as well as the whole education system is far behind that adopted by modern corporations. What is worse, the current school democratic management system is not well put into effect. This thesis tries to carry out the idea of bottom-up in the field of school management, which is widely used in business management. It aims to give the rein to the manager's initiative, exert a positive effect on the manager's technique and strategy in a bottom-up way in order to safeguard the legitimate and reasonable rights of the school, organization and individual. Simultaneously, it tries to make the bottom-up management cooperate with the top-down management, so that we can take advantages of both of them, in order to pursue an ideal way of school management, and promote the harmonious development of individual and school.This thesis mainly uses literature review. It re-examines the personal factor and research perspective of the traditional management theory. By using the idea of bottom-up in business management for reference, and considering the actual condition of the relationship between the high and low in school management, it proposes the idea of how to bring the effect of bottom-up management into full play. Both the manager and the people being managed, should possess some excellent qualities, know how to take initiative, how to communicate with others effectively, and seek for "mutual benefit". It should base on the principles of promoting common development, transposition consideration, and orderly coordination. The managing means and methods should vary with concrete condition.Bottom-up management has a bright future in school management. The following factors provide a broad space for its development. For instance, the gerund of right division and pluralizing in our education management, the fact of "amenable to human relationship" in our society, the attention paid to the peoplebeing managed and the objective condition of ill-sounded democratic management in school, etc. The scope of bottom-up management can also be carried out in the following three ways: the re-defining of management relation among the organizations of school;the broadening of the management scope of the principal and the developing of leading-role of the teacher. In the end, this paper provides some constructive suggestions for the application of bottom-up management. They are, the elaboration and application of rights endowed by the law and policies;the establishment of the provisions for the application of bottom-up management in order to remove all the doubts of the staff;the improvement of the evaluation system of the school's democratic management;the foundation of bottom-up management organization's culture and the training of the ability and technique for bottom-up management.
