Distance Education Network Teaching Platform And Network Courses

Along with development of Internet and education's information ,web-based distanceeducation appears and has developed constantly . As a new method of education , enormousadvantage owning web-based distance education had been realized by all the countries in theworld . Education must take precedence over all other questions during the achievement ofmodernization in our country . Implementing web-based distance education cosmically isimperative under the situation. Web-based distance education has advanced in our country inunprecedented velocity. The competition in 21 century is competition of economy andtechnology. Talent is important and talent depend on education. It is important mission thatimproving education's equality by reform of teaching method and teaching methods. Moderneducation technology , especially communication technology play a important role.In chapter 1, the information about modern distance education was reviewed, includingdistance education characteristic, classification , developing trend , technology application andteaching reform. In chapter 2, basic principle ,concept and produces on instructional supportingplatform were discussed. Web instructional supporting platform, which is a study managementsoftware system by network to carry out course teaching , is a set of soft system whichconstruct ,save, organize ,maintain, pursue and provide individuation course learning object. Atpresent, there are many software produces, for example, WebCT,Blackboard,Virtual-U ,LearningSpace ,Moodle and so on, which can be used to implement web course teaching in theworld. These pop software are introduced in chapter 3. A web instructional supporting platformcan accomplish some basic function, including the issue of course content, creation of coursecontent, e-mail and browsing course on-line etc. The content concerned Web-Based coursedevelopment & application is discussed in detailed in chapter 3. The development of web courseinclude technique based on hyper text/hyper media and programme technique based on ASP.Web-design and material common tool have edit implement for static web pages, interactionimplement for active web pages, other auxiliary tool for web-design and common developmenttool of multimedia material etc.A distance education web had been constructed using databaseAccess in Windows XP operation system +IIS+ASP . This web consist of two sub-system ofteacher and student , access database by ASP & ADO. It can show the content of network page.The operations of query, insert , update and delete can also be performed . In this chapter , thathow to issues web had been concerned ,and some problem in web construction, which is thediscussion for answer and test questions database, also been thought. Internet bring hugeconvenience for our life, at the same time, the problem in security become serious increasingly,the security in web construction is a important aspect during our design and implement. Wediscussed the process for Web-Based course and instruction function of teaching system designtheory for Web-Based course. There are ,such as shortage of bandwidth ,shortage of teachingmultiformity and some leaks in web administer , some problems in web site, a few suggestionsare brought forward .In a word , distance education will drastically change our traditional education and teachingmethod ,and this changes rapidly advance development of science technology.
