According to certain study theories and basing on the language -teachingsituation, the language curriculum experts of Chinese propose "Languageaccomplishment". This concept is not the theory innovation purposely putforward, but has inherited in the outstanding tradition and improved thelanguage education's goal according to the modern society's developmentrequest to people. "Language accomplishment" unifies study and studyinghow to become a person and it manifests the education thought of training"the full scale development person". It is a theoretically breakthrough. Itsymbolizes one kind of ideal boundary of the language curriculum. "Thelanguage accomplishment" is characteristic of the education for all-arounddevelopment. It is the foundation for students' development in an all roundway, also is the foundation of the student learning other curriculums better.The language discipline is the home for students' thoughts and spirits.Language accomplishment is the nucleus concept of the languagecurriculum. How to understand its connotation is an important question,because it relates the language curriculum's implementation. It directlyaffects students' language accomplishment's raising and the enhancement,and relates to the success of the language education. Then it affects the entireeducation function. However, in present language educational circles,although many language educators make many issues on languageaccomplishment, people have not achieved the mutual recognition to thelanguage accomplishment's connotation. How to raise student's languageaccomplishment? There hasn't been a clear answer.This article has first analyzed the background and the significance ofproposing the language accomplishment, pointed out its proposing has notonly the solid theoretical foundation, but also the profound historicalbackground and the realistic basis. It fully manifests the languagecurriculum's goal of raising person in information time. Then it analyzes theconnotation and the level, and it takes the spoken language knowledge andthe spoken language skill as a core, contains the emotion and the manner andstudent's study process and the method. It is one kind of compoundaccomplishment for students. According to the above the languageaccomplishment is divided into six levels, namely, student's essentiallanguage knowledge, rich language accumulation, skilled language skill,good study custom and method, deep cultural accomplishment, loftyconversation manner and so on. After that, this article explained student'slanguage accomplishment's characteristic, the training principle and thetraining strategy.This article's innovation lies in that it makes of concept of Chineseaccomplishment which base on the language and the language nature. Fromthis, we can obtain its training principle and training strategy, and we cantrain the language accomplishment in three aspects, i.e., language knowledgeand language skill, student's emotion and manner, being love country'swriting and culture and so on.The purpose of this article is to train the students' languageaccomplishment better. The language accomplishment is the languageeducation's starting point and it is also the final goal of the languageeducation. The proposing of this idea helps to speed up teachers' specializeddevelopment and train student's language accomplishment. Only when thecorrect theory is put into Chinese education practice, can the formation anddevelopment of the language accomplishment of the students be realized.
