With the development in the reform of basic teaching courses, the value of inquiring teaching methods have become more and more important. Based on thenternational comparison, experiences researches and the solutions of the shortcomings of junior maths courses, regarded pedagogy,psychology as the theoretical direction, it's emphasized that the major point now is to advocate the creativity and ability among students, to stimulate them to take an active part in exploration, cooperation and communication in the way of multi-evaluation systems. During the teaching procedures, I should not only pay attention to knowledge itself ,but the process of its formation. Not only should we concentrate on students' learning knowledge but also we should be concerned with their feelings, attitude and their sense of value. And this is just the starting point of this paper.In the paper, I adopts the approaches of some documentary analysis and my experiences, starting with the maths research and the basic characteristics of inquiring teaching procedures, and combine the basis of maths theories with the current situation of junior maths courses. I analyse the necessity and feasibility of the settings up maths reseach in junior school, its teaching exploration, its value, specific designs, and measures to take and analyze the difference and relationship between inquiring teaching methods and basic teaching methods.The author implemented inquiring teaching of practice of one term in No.28 junior middle school of Handan city. It's also advocated in the process of teaching that we should look at things dialectically according to different teaching materials and different students. That is : We should not reject a certain teaching method nor should we excessively mythicize it because each method has its own advantage. So we should absorb in positive parts and get rid of its negative parts. We must be able to combine different teaching method organically to get the best result. As we often put it, "There is a certain way and no fixed method in teaching." That is the main point of this paper.My experment proves that to advocate the inquiring teaching method in junior maths teaching can promote the interest and ability of analyzing and solving problems among students, which have great importance in promotion of their sense of creativity and ability.Furthermore, students can not only master the knowledge they have learnt but they can freely make use of the knowledge to solve practical problems. So the teaching method I have noted in the paper can really reduce the burdon of our student in learning and also promote our degrees in great part.
