The development of E-education has presented teachers with new challenges, and it is very important part of the E-education to help the teachers of basic education master and practise education technology. In September 2004, the Ministry of Education proposed that the most of elementary and high school teachers in our country should have the opportunity to get educational technology training which lasts for 50 hours at least, in order to improve themselves in using education technology to guarantee the quality of teaching. From May 2005 to January 2006, I had a share in the edition of the Course of Educational Technology Training for Elementary and High School Teachers (Junior Courses, for Teachers) (thereinafter, the Course for short), and participated in the training for national master teachers. Also, abundant data were collected in this process. By the analysis to the state of educational technology training and opinions investigated from elementary and high school teachers, the signification of case in educational technology training is summarized combining with my experiences in the edition and training. At the same time, theoretical principle of case-based instruction and its role in teacher s' professional development are analyzed. Then the style, feature, expressed form of case in educational technology training and the procedure of case-development are analyzed based on the collection, collation, selection of cases among the edition of the Course. At last, the operation of and evaluation to case-based instruction in educational technology training are described according to observations to training and communication with trainees. The respects which should be paid attention to in actual educational technology training are pointed out and some advice is brought forward.
