"Children left in rural areas", whose parents have been going out to do manual work, as a special group which arose in the course of industrialization and urbanization in China, are facing the growing environment, which lacks parents' love, family guardianship and education. The traditional school management can not pay close attention to the needs of each individual, "Children left in rural areas" are having some specific characteristics in the course of their personality development. Administrators think that "Children left in rural areas" are more serious than those whose parents are at home in the fields of interaction, reflections of external stimulus and morale affection. Statistics sample survey shows that the main problem is that the personality development of "Children left in rural areas" is worse than that of those whose parents are at home in the fields of morale affection, loneliness, interpersonal relations and confidence, but there are few differences between them on the worries about social intercourse and learning adaptability.The characteristics of flexible management theory, such as flexibility, adaptability and coordination, can help administrators adapt to the constant changing environment, and also the needs of the management targets actively. As to "Children left in rural areas" who need special love, that will be more helpful.Something should be done to solve the problems on personality development of "Children left in rural areas" by society, families, schools, and so on. As for schools, we can give "Children left in rural areas" more love which they need, and we can also do more help to promote the development of their personalities if we hold the idea of flexible management in the course of the management of education and teaching.
