There are two mathematics teaching methods, lecturing and inquiring teaching. The two methods are having a trial of strength in education theories, teaching methods and effects, which indicates the advance of mathematics teaching reform. The thesis is just based on this topic --- on the basis of references study, by means of case analysis and action research, I advocate coming up with an ideal teaching method, which is the reconstruction of the traditional teaching methods.This essay consists of four parts. The first chapter is about the existence of the two different mathematics teaching methods. The second chapter puts emphasis on the properties of squares by using illustration as well as questionnaire so as to derive the progressive procedures and effects of the concepts diagram. The third chapter describes how to design the lessons of Pythagorean Theorem. The last chapter sums up the new teaching method and the significance of action research activities. |
