General Technology Teacher Professional Development Issues And Countermeasures

A new course reformation of basic education is coming in China. General technology course is a whole new part set up in this reformation. It brings teachers opportunity and challenge.At present, general technology teachers are coming from different field. The teachers and their literacy structure are the basis of general technology teacher development. The character, idea and content of general technology have a special requirement to general technology teacher's literacy structure. Different teacher needs different developing process.By questionnaire research, field survey and network investigation, the dissertation firstly presents current situation of general technology teachers in the professional development and also exposes the main problems in the processing of their professional development.Then, the dissertation puts forward promoting technology teacher's professional development by the methods of successfully transferring teachers from other field into general technology, developing their teaching ability, increasing validity of professional training, establishing policy for general technology teacher's continuous development and setting up supporting system.At last, the dissertation offers a case study which provides a model of general technology teacher's professional development, shows the processing of general technology teacher's professional developing and offers revelation for the other teacher's development.
