At present, teacher professional development has become the mainstream of the theoretical study of teacher education and educational practice at home and abroad; General technology courses is a major bright spot in this basic education curriculum reform, but the implementation has many difficulities, in which the teachers'bad quality is one of the disturbing factors. The study has started from the topic about general technology teacher's professional development, which has have many significances from theory to practice.The study has adopted the method of educational narrative single case, and has selected Liu Jianming from the fifth high school in Nanjing as the study object. Through direct interview\ indirect interview\observation\literature analysis ect, the study has traced Mr. Liu's professional development course from four aspects- "knowledge\ emotion\ persistence\ action" based on the summary and analysis of relevant theories. Through the review of the experiences from his childhood to Prophase teaching career and then after as the general technology teacher, the study has explored the factors promoted Mr. Liu's professional development, including individual intrinsic factors that educational belief is the precondition of professional development\ emotion and persistence are the maintain of professional development\ autonomy is the key of professional development\knowledge and skill are the foothold of professional development\personality trait is the catalyst of professional development; External organizational factors include family\ school and historical background\the expert guide and training\teamwork. The study has obtained the view that the internal factors have played a dominant role and the external factors have played a supporting role, due to interaction between internal and external, the both of them have promoted his professional development jointly.The study has provided a useful reference sample to common teachers' professional development. On the basis of the review of professional development of Mr. Liu and interpretation of the causes, author has brought forward four inspirations of common teachers'professional development.
