Higher Poor Students Aid System

Poverty-stricken students in colleges and universities in China are increasing gradually and the problem of poverty-stricken students attracts great concern from society, together with students paying their own tuition and the larger enrollment in colleges and universities. It has become our society problem. In order to solve this problem, our county, society and colleges and universities have taken a series of measures and carried on a lot of research. In China, we have basically established a financial aid system for poverty-stricken students based on scholarship, loan, students' subsidies, allowance and exemption of tuition. This system plays a big role in solving the financial problem of poverty-stricken students. Nevertheless, this system also faces great challenge. On the one hand, more and more students enter colleges and universities. On the other hand, the tuition for education increases at the same time.To solve this problem, we must establish and reform our social financial aid system for poverty-stricken students. Our country, society and colleges and universities must provide financial aid to those students. The reform of this system is very important to the mechanism of revitalization of our country with education and science. It is also related to talents cultivation, psychological health of poverty-stricken students, and the development and stabilization of the enterprise of colleges and universities.This article includes four parts.The first chapter mainly introduces the background, meaning and the present research of poverty-stricken students and the research method of this article.The second chapter illustrates the definition of poverty-stricken students and the author uses lot of theories and data to analyze the reason and the present living situation of poverty-stricken students.The third chapter introduces different measures taken to help poverty-stricken students and the problems still existing in these measures. In this chapter, the author mainly takes Shandong University as an example. At the same time, the author also introduces and analyzes the problem of poverty-stricken postgraduates.In the fourth chapter, the author gives useful suggestions on the financial aid system to poverty-stricken students from system establishment, development of charity, and reform of colleges and universities financial aid system. The author also provides suggestions on postgraduates' financial aid system.On the basis of this analysis, the author provides some new idea to the financial aid system to poverty-stricken students. In principle, this system mainly includes country aid, loan, part-time work and part-time study, scholarship, students' subsidies, allowance, exemption of tuition, correct guidance of psychological health. It is a comprehensive improvement of our present financial aid system to poverty-stricken students and this system will help poverty-stricken students much more.
