A Study On The Information Literacy Education In China

The information literacy instruction is one kind of new education system that raises the user information consciousness and the information ability. It is thorough and the development to the traditional library user education. Not only can cause the user to grasp the gain information the ability, moreover also can cause the ability, the research ability and the criticalness thought which the user has continues to study.At present, there is suitable disparity between the different community and the individual in the information literacy instruction condition. As a result of the difference at information consciousness, knowledge structure and language ability, the user use network skill is also different. Some user's information realization and their knowledge can adapt information society's request, however, many users can not use the network to carry on the information retrieving independently. Because using the traditional method for long time, the new question raise that the open abundant network information resource urgently needs to be developed and used. Therefore, under the network environment the information literacy instruction was more and more urgent.There were the systematic researches in practice of information literacy instruction. The achievement and the experience had been referenced, and combined with own teaching experience to discuss the essence of information literacy concept, and the general approach in practice of information literacy instruction, to analyze the characteristic and the implementation plan of on-line information literacy instruction combined with network technology.The first part of this paper introduced the background and significance about research.
