| Education plays great role in a country's development. To have talent lecturers in higher education institutional is the priority of the education reform and development in Yunnan province. Historically, the higher education in Yunnan province has similar experience as it was in China. On one hand, demand for higher education increased dramatically which resulted in the higher volume and diversification in the ways it runs. On the other hand, due to the different requirement for the talent, the way to educate the students tend to be diversified. One issue raised: talent lecturers are short in HR pond, especially in Yunnan, as the undeveloped province in West of China.With the support from central and local government, the lecturer's teams have seen the great development in terms of quantity, qualification and position. It, however, lags significantly behind compared with national benchmark. The main issues are: difficulty of talent introduction; poor investment in cultivation; brain drain. All these issues are stem from some economic and institutional reason such as undeveloped economy, poor salary, etc.To implement the strategy of great development based on HR, all higher education institutions are under the pressure to look for more efficient and effective way to deal with the problems.Based on the analysis of whole picture of education in Yunnan province, taken case study as methodology, the paper discussed the experience in Yunnan university of finance and economics, with the hope it could benefit to the education development in Yunnan province. |
